In the 1970s, Gallagher appeared in several films, including The Godfather Part II (1974), The Sting (1973), and The Taking of Pelham One Two Three (1974). He also had a role in the television miniseries Rich Man, Poor Man (1976). In addition to his acting career, Gallagher was also a successful businessman. He owned a chain of restaurants in the Los Angeles area and was a partner in a real estate development firm. At the time of his death in 2004, Gallagher had an estimated net worth of $10 million.
