Robert Kilpatrick, Baron Kilpatrick of Kincraig, is a British politician and life peer. He was born on 29 July 1926 in Edinburgh, Scotland. He was educated at the University of Edinburgh and the University of London. Kilpatrick was a Member of Parliament for Edinburgh South from 1964 to 1974, and was a member of the House of Lords from 1974 until his retirement in 2017. He was a member of the Conservative Party and served as a Minister of State for Scotland from 1979 to 1983. Kilpatrick was made a life peer in 1974, and was created Baron Kilpatrick of Kincraig in the County of Perth in the same year. He was a member of the House of Lords Select Committee on Science and Technology from 1979 to 1983. Kilpatrick is married to Lady Kilpatrick, and they have two children. He is a keen golfer and enjoys sailing.

He died in 2015 at the age of 89. He is buried in Dean Cemetery immediately to the south-west of the main entrance.
Appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in 1979, he was knighted in 1986. Announced in the 1996 New Year Honours, he was created life peer as Baron Kilpatrick of Kincraig, of Dysart in the district of Kirkcaldy on 16 February 1996. He sat as a crossbencher.
Kilpatrick was educated at Buckhaven High School, and studied medicine at Edinburgh University, graduating in 1949 with a Bachelor of Surgery (Ch.B.).
Kilpatrick married Elizabeth (Bette) Gibson Page Forbes (1927-2019) in 1950. The couple had two sons and a daughter.
