Mike Brewer is a former Major League Baseball pitcher who played for the Texas Rangers, San Diego Padres, and Chicago Cubs from 1983 to 1991. He was born on October 24, 1959 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Brewer was drafted by the Rangers in the first round of the 1981 amateur draft. He made his major league debut on April 8, 1983, and went on to pitch in parts of nine seasons in the majors. He was a member of the Rangers' 1989 American League West Division championship team. Brewer's best season came in 1989, when he went 11-7 with a 3.45 ERA in 33 games (25 starts). He finished his career with a record of 44-50 and a 4.17 ERA in 166 games (128 starts). Brewer is currently the pitching coach for the San Diego Padres' Triple-A affiliate, the El Paso Chihuahuas. He has also served as a pitching coach for the Rangers, Padres, and Cubs. As of 2021, Mike Brewer's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
