Bobby Jones was born on 12 July, 1955 in Sharon, Pennsylvania, United States. He attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he was a standout wide receiver. After college, he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the fourth round of the 1977 NFL Draft. Jones played for the Steelers from 1977 to 1983, and then for the San Francisco 49ers from 1984 to 1986. During his career, he caught 437 passes for 6,814 yards and 44 touchdowns. He was selected to the Pro Bowl in 1979 and 1980. After his playing career, Jones became a coach. He was an assistant coach for the Steelers from 1987 to 1991, and then the head coach of the Birmingham Fire of the World League of American Football in 1992. He was also an assistant coach for the New York Jets from 1993 to 1996. Jones is currently the wide receivers coach for the University of Pittsburgh. He is married to his wife, Karen, and has two children. As of 2021, Bobby Jones's net worth is estimated to be around $2 million.
