Nurick began his career as a production assistant on the television series The Office in 2005. He then went on to work as a production coordinator on the series Parks and Recreation from 2009 to 2011. In 2012, he began working as a director on the series The Mindy Project. He has since directed episodes of Brooklyn Nine-Nine, New Girl, and The Good Place. Nurick has also produced several short films, including The Last Day of Summer (2009), The Reunion (2010), and The Perfect Date (2011).
